FlightWeatherCheck doesn't hand every route the same US chart stack. A region-aware selection engine classifies each airport on your route and assembles the products that actually depict your airspace — across the US, Canada, and Mexico.
Mexico — purpose-built route coverage
Fly MMGL → MMMM and the engine switches to Mexico-covering products automatically: GOES Mexico-sector satellite, continental surface analysis, METARs and TAFs, and international SIGMETs for Mexican FIRs. US-only products that can't depict your route are filtered out or explicitly labeled reference-only — never passed off as coverage. Airspace and NOTAM checks remain with SENEAM.

How is this product different from the others?
Most tools show you weather and leave the interpretation to you. FlightWeatherCheck reads every official product for your specific route and altitude and writes the briefing itself: a clear advisory verdict (GO, MARGINAL GO, CONDITIONAL GO, or NO-GO) with a confidence grade, what drives the call, and what would change it. Every number comes from official FAA and NWS data, and the raw products ride along in the report so you can check its work.
Is this an official weather briefing?
No. FlightWeatherCheck is an advisory planning tool, and every verdict is advisory — the final go/no-go decision always rests with the pilot in command. For a regulatory briefing of record, use Flight Service (1800wxbrief.com) or your national briefing service.
Where does the data come from?
Official sources: METARs, TAFs, G-AIRMETs, convective SIGMETs, PIREPs, winds aloft, TFRs from tfr.faa.gov, FAA sectional charts, NEXRAD radar, Chart Supplement facility data, NWS forecast discussions, and NOAA/Environment Canada wildfire-smoke products. The AI analyzes; the official data stays authoritative and visible in every report.
Can I trust an AI with weather?
The AI is built to never invent numbers — altitudes, times, and values are restated from the underlying data, hazards it cannot verify are stated as unknowns, and confidence is graded honestly. The complete raw data is included in every report, so nothing asks for blind trust.
How far ahead can I brief?
Up to 7 days before departure. Within about 24 hours of takeoff you get TAF-grade detail; further out, the briefing leans on extended forecast guidance and lowers its stated confidence accordingly.
What does it cost?
FlightWeatherCheck is free during the public beta — every account gets a monthly briefing allowance, plus features like briefing Q&A and altitude comparison at no charge. Paid plans arrive after beta, and today's beta users will get founder benefits when they do.
Can I use my ForeFlight route?
Yes — upload a .fpl route file and the briefing follows your actual planned route, including the controlled-airspace check along your track. Routes can also be entered as airports with up to six waypoints.
